Kids Repair Café | Social map for newcomers

Primary school pupils from Oegstgeest can repair their broken items at the Kids Repair Café. They do this together with people who are good at it: the volunteers of Repair Café Oegstgeest. Every child finds it a shame when something dear to them breaks – a cuddly toy, toy, backpack, alarm clock, shirt, trousers or bicycle. There is no need to just throw it away, it can often still be repaired. At the Kids Repair Café, repairing becomes fun; children often discover that they can do more than they might have thought. Of course, it is also sustainable to do. The people at Repair Café Oegstgeest have a lot of experience and are happy to explain, show and get to work with children (7 to 12 years old). There are all kinds of tools ready for them to work on. If you don't have anything that needs repairing, you can still come. Because there is plenty to do: soldering, carpentry, how electricity works or how to make a phone case or bag on a sewing machine.
