SomAstel was founded on February 18, 2019. It is a foundation by and in collaboration with the Somali community. SomAstel represents the interests of and promotes the participation and integration of the Somali community and into Dutch society. SomAstel's primary goal is to support the Somali community and give them a place in Dutch society. Our activities are not exclusively for Somalis; our doors are open to everyone. Women and children from other backgrounds often join as well. With our organization, we hope to contribute to greater participation and integration of the Somali community in Amsterdam-Amstelland.
